Paige Hesen, CPM

Since she can remember, Paige has always been fascinated with the beauty of pregnancy and birth. After initially pursuing a career in neuropsychology, Paige felt like something was missing, and began exploring the birth world. Discovering and watching the work that midwives participate in was a game-changer for Paige. The meshing of evidence based-practice with compassionate, hands-on care was something she had yet to see working in a traditional obstetrical model. Paige wishes every person could experience the individualized, holistic, family-centered care that midwives can provide throughout a women’s childbearing years. Paige has a deep love for supporting families on some of the most intimate and special days of their lives. Fostering empowerment throughout pregnancy and beyond is a passion of hers.

Paige graduated this summer with a degree in Midwifery from Midwives College of Utah, located in Salt Lake City. Throughout her time as a student midwife, Paige had the pleasure of training and working in mostly out-of-hospital settings. It was through this that she realized the ability of midwives to provide excellent, safe care outside of the barriers of larger, more traditional healthcare systems. Paige is thrilled to begin her career as a midwife where she finished her training, at Colorado Birth and Wellness. Practicing in CB&W’s beautiful facility with a stellar staff, is a dream come true.

Prior to her midwifery journey, Paige graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in Psychology and Neuroscience. When she is not at the birth center, Paige loves cheering on the Buffs, reading thrillers, enjoying the gorgeous Colorado sun, and spending time with her partner Blake.
